Commentary
- Wil Ferrell's career just gets better and better. Last year's Talladega Nights was probably the most successful movie he ever starred in. And now Blades of Glory, which has a much more limited premise and is a lesser movie, will easily top the grosses of Anchorman and Old School. He is getting into that comfortable Adam Sandler territory in which every movie he makes earns good money. Good for him.
- Are We Done Yet will also earn good money. Why are so many people seeing it? I just don't know.
- The opening for Grindhouse is ugly, ugly, ugly. This is a now a movie that might lose money. I guess people are not interested in seeing a double feature that consists of two movies paying homage to old, crappy looking films. Sad, considering it was such a cool idea.
- Wild Hogs and 300 keep on making money. 300 is sure to reach that sweet $200 million mark. Meanwhile, Wild Hogs will, shockingly enough, make more then $150 million just from domestic box office. It's a crazy world out there.
