- Christina Ricci will play Trixie, the "female love interest" in the Wachowski Brother's version of Speed Racer. Interesting choice. As have been most of the casting choices for this one so far.
- Shia LaBeouf will be on Indiana Jones IV . Wait, haven't we known that for a while now? Well, yeah, but now we have (finally) official confirmation. It's has not been confirmed that he will be playing Indy's son tough.
- David Mamet will direct a pic revolving around Jiu-Jitsu fighting. The film will star Chiwetel Ejiofor. Am I the only one who is immediately excited about this idea? Granted, I'm a Mamet fun and tend to enjoy even his lesser work. But you have got to admit that the combination of Mamet and Jiu-Jitsu (Jiu-Jitsu!) is juicy.
On the other hand, I'm not much of a fan of
Chiwetel Ejiofor. He was great on Dirty Pretty Things, but I hated most of his other works. Most people seem to disagree with me about him tough. - Tony Scott is set to turn the life of Pat Dollard into a movie. Dollard is a former Hollywood agent who, after a few too many run ins with drugs and strippers, found raging neoconservatism. He went to Iraq, was embedded with the marines for a while and now makes documentaries with a conservative and pro-Bush bent. You can read some more about his life here.
