Very well in fact. The movie sold an estimated 3.5 million DVDs In it's first week in release. That's close to the 4 million DVDs the first Narnia film sold in it's first week. It's particularly impressive because Web's boxoffice take was somewhat lackluster ($82.5 domestic).
Yet another example of a movie doing much better on DVD than they did on the screen. Also another example of why studios keep making more and more family oriented movies. They simply make a lot of money, one way or the other.
