How did Pan manage to lose foreign film? Nothing against Lives of Others, which I haven't seen, but it was a little bizarre to see Pan lose this one after getting a bunch of Oscars.
Alan Arkin winning is what we call in the business an upset. Not too happy about it.
Besides those two, not many upsets. Generally happy with the choices. Wish some else had taken best original screenplay though.
Go Marty! Best moment of the night was seeing Spielberg, Coppola and Lucas give Scorsese his much deserved Oscar.
And go The Departed. Good choice Academy!
Ellen was fine, I hope they call her again some of these years. And the Oscar choices were good, overall. So yeah, a good night.
