- Happy Feet 2? Maybe. George Miller, the director, said that it was a real possibility. However there is something standing in the way of the sequel: Miller really wants to make Mad Max 4, and that would take priority. No, I'm not making this up, he really wants to make Mad Max 4, and has been talking about it for a while. Why? Dunno, perhaps he is tired of making this movies that get critical acclaim, get Oscar nominations and make tons of money.
- Eddie Murphy, whose career has been on the rise recently, has yet another project lined up. Nowhereland is a family comedy written by Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, who also wrote the Bill & Ted movies, and it sees Murphy entering the make believe world of his daughter. I'm sure it will be excellent.
- Alvin and the Chipmunks, the movie, is moving forward. Director Tim Hill (Garfield) is set to direct the movie which will mix live action and animation. I'm pretty sure that now every single somewhat popular series from my childhood is either a film or set to become one.
- This is only oh so slightly movie related, but I can't help but to mention that Peter Weller, the actor that played RoboCop, is now on route "toward a PhD in Italian Renaissance art history from UCLA". As part of the requirements he is even teaching some courses, so you could take a class … with RoboCop! So awesome.
