Lessons learned
- Apparently having "happy" in you title is the road to a number 1 opening. And the producers of The Pursuit Of Happyness believed in that so much they were willing to put a misspelling in the title!
- I was wrong. Taking a somewhat popular fantasy book an turning it into a crappy movie with good, but ultimatly unimpressive, FX is enough to get you a decent opening. Eragon won't get anywhere close to Lord Of The Rings, Harry Potter or Narnia grosses though.
- Will Smith is clearly one of the biggest stars in the world. Dakota Fanning is not quite there.
- And the Feet remain Happy and will probably remain Happy for the rest of the Holiday season.
