Quick Hits: Parked in a Australian Storm

The new film from Park Chan-wook (director of the wonderfully messed up Oldboy) has just been released in South Korea. The film, titled “I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK”, is a romantic comedy. Set in an mental institution. I can only imagine.
I wasn’t that impressed with Australian horror fest Wolf Creek. But I’m not ready to write off the country just yet, so I’ll be looking forward to ” Storm Warning“. The film pits a husband and wife team on a fishing trip against “deranged locals”. It is being described as “Deliverance” meets “Straw Dogs”. Hopefully with less oink. Dimension is going to distribute the film in North America, probably at some point next year.

Both movies sound awesome. I’m looking forward to seeing them. Too bad we have to wait a year to see the Australian horror one.
