First. I hadn’t realized that this film took place in the sixties until I watched the trailer. That was surprising.
Second. The film will look amazing. Which we kind of expect with Fincher.
Third. The trailer is oddly filled with jokes and with upbeat music. Really, about half of the trailer has a very light mood. And then there is the killing stuff. Weird.
So, not convinced. I always expect good things from Fincher, but the trailer lacks any strong hook and I’m afraid he might have missed the mark with regards to the general mood of the film. But it could just be bad trailer making.
